Juanita Devis Clavijo

About

Juanita Devis is a Researcher in Urban Design at imec City of Things.

She is passionate about cities and architecture, and her interest is to investigate how technology and urban data can provide insights to address their mobility, urban, environmental and societal challenges.

Her background combines her domain knowledge in urban planning and architecture with working experience in smart cities, mobility, logistics and technology (data, map-based visualizations and simulations, sensors, models, applications). In the projects she translates the needs of internal and external stakeholders into project scope, and technical requirements for the engineering teams. During project execution, she guides the technical development by providing domain-specific input and validating the output. She is currently involved in the CityFlows and the Token projects.

She was previously a CityScience Advisor for the City Science Group, at the MIT Media Lab, in the context of the "Andorra Living Lab" initiative, coordinating projects in urban simulation, cultural heritage, and education.

In 2014, she received the Master in Architecture at Politecnico di Milano, Italy.

While not working, you can find her travelling, sketching, or scuba diving.
